Meet TREK! If you’re looking for an all around happy and fun loving dog, look no further because TREK is your boy! This 2-year-old sweetheart greets everyone with joy and friendly tail wags. He has a beautiful black and white coat, and he just loves to have cuddles and pets as often as he can, attempting to strategically place himself closest to his foster mom so he gets more pets than his foster siblings.

TREK gets along wonderfully with all the dogs in his foster home, playing with the younger dogs and being fairly respectful of the old cranky girl that wants nothing to do with his games. TREK will run zoomies around the yard, playing tag or sharing toys with his foster siblings, but his happy place is right next to his people, making him quite the endearing Velcro dog. He’s learning some basic commands too, catching on quickly with the  use of treats and praise.

TREK is a very athletic boy that would love to play fetch or go for runs with his new family, or maybe even hikes in the hills. He loves everyone he meets, adults and children alike, and tries to greet everyone with a gentle hug. We are working on teaching him to keep his paws on the floor, but sometimes it’s hard considering he’s so gentle and sweet about his hugs. TREK has been a well behaved boy in his foster home, mostly following his foster mom around and planting himself nearby while she does chores. He is a little too intense about the cats though, so a home without cats may be a better fit.

TREK has settled into a routine very easily here, he is crated while foster mom works, and then loves his outside playtime as soon as she gets home. He also has adjusted well to sleeping in his crate at night, settling down and sleeping quietly all night til morning. TREK is housebroken, he hasn’t had a single accident while in our care.

TREK is micro-chipped, neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations.
