Say hello to RANGER, a 1 year old BC mix. He is on the smaller side weight 35 pounds and has a cropped tail. His foster mom thinks he might have some corgi mix because of his rounded ears and long body.

RANGER is a very sweet boy who loves all dogs and people he has met at his foster home. He was afraid of the cats at first but has quickly gotten used to them. He can be shy at times and will do best in a home where he gets lots of patience and a gentle hand. RANGER loves to cuddle and will jump in your lap or lay at your feet. At 1 year he still acts very puppy-ish and is working on his potty training. He likes to play with plush toys and will chase a ball. He is a medium energy boy who loves to play but also settles down well in the house.

RANGER sleeps quietly in his crate at night and is fine being left in the yard for few hours while his foster mom is away. He has not chewed anything inappropriate or has dug in the garden. He’s still a bit unsure about traveling, but has gotten better with each car ride. RANGER walks well on a leash with no pulling. He would make a great running or hiking partner. He has a solid sit and decent localized recall. RANGER is ready to learn what it means to be a family member and that people are kind and loving.

RANGER is micro-chipped, neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Application and wish to enquire about RANGER please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration. RANGER is being fostered in Folsom in Sacramento County, California.
