NELLIE is a sweet red and white Border Collie young female.  Not much is known about her background but her foster reports she is crate trained, in fact she’s apt to hang out in her crate on her own accord if there is nothing else happening and has never had an accident in the house. NELLIE has a beautiful silky coat and is enjoys frequent brushing (even a bath sometimes!) which keeps her looking her best. She has gorgeous red markings mixed in her mostly white coat; some large and some small and an adoring gaze from deep and soulful eyes.

NELLIE is shy at first but in short order becomes affectionate and endearing. Mostly this girl enjoys hanging out with you; whatever you are up to she wants to be nearby.  She is an excellent walking companion, but also happy to nap if you are working. NELLIE insists on being the alpha dog, so a home where she is the only dog would probably be best for her. She can benefit from some additional training but like all Border Collies she catches on quick as she wants to please.

NELLIE is not a big barker; she doesn’t even seem to mind when the notorious UPS man delivers a package and rings the doorbell. Visitors are noticed and welcomed without fanfare from Nellie.  She only barks quietly if she thinks you have forgotten about her or her dinner! If you have room in your heart and time to devote to her NELLIE could be just the dog you are looking for!

NELLIE is micro-chipped, spayed, heart worm negative and on heartworm & flea/tick monthly preventative, and up to date on vaccinations.
